On behalf of the Manitoba Trucking Association, we would like to express condolences to those affected by the recent tragic accident and loss of life near Carberry. Our deepest sympathies are with those impacted, their families, and emergency personnel at the scene.
The MTA will refrain from making comments at this time. With the Canadian Trucking Alliance and other provincial trucking associations, we strongly believe that now is not the time for speculation on the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision near Carberry, Manitoba.
The investigators and first responders on the scene are professionals who need the support of everyone so they can do their job. As noted by the RCMP, it is important to take the time required to determine the facts.
