Winnipeg, MB (January 09, 2025) – Are you ready to start your journey toward a stable, high-demand career in the trucking industry? The Road to Success: Class 1 Training Pilot Program is here to help residents of Winnipeg turn their aspirations into reality.
This program provides eligible candidates with fully-funded training to become a Class 1 truck driver, offering direct access to employers ready to hire. Designed to remove financial and logistical barriers, this initiative opens doors for individuals seeking secure, well-paying employment.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident of Winnipeg.
- Currently receive Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) or earn less than $35,000 annually.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with driving experience in the last 24 months.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with a Canadian passport or the ability to obtain one.
- Be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Provide proof of completion of Manitoba High School, CAEC, or an equivalent credential.
