This annual event is a fundraiser for the MTA’s scholarship fund, which distributes over $16,000 annually to deserving young Manitobans in apprenticeship and academic programs.
Come out and support some of the industry's top Class 1 commercial drivers on Saturday, June 17, as they showcase their skills, knowledge, and professionalism at the 2023 Manitoba Professional Truck Driving Championship! With a driving track, written test, and pre-trip inspection, this event puts competitors through the paces and keeps them on their toes! This event is followed by the Driver Awards Banquet, where we not only celebrate the day's competitors but also recognize the MTA-Inland Group Industry Excellence Award winners and announce the MTA-Volvo Trucks Canada Driver of the Year.
This course is designed to teach Class 1 Instructor candidates on how to teach the Class 1 Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) Curriculum developed by Manitoba Public Insurance. It also gives students training on classroom facilitation as well as coaching in cab.
This is an intensive leadership development program designed to equip emerging leaders in the transportation industry with the strong communication skills required of successful leaders. Each module focuses on a specific area of communication skills development. The overall objective of the program is to provide the next generation of leaders with the ability to inspire action in others – from drivers, to customers, to executive teams.
