The New Entrant Training Course provides increased awareness and understanding of fleet safety management and regulatory compliance responsibilities for those applying for a Safety Fitness Certificate in Manitoba. The program will instruct participants on how to establish a foundational understanding and promotion of a culture of fleet safety.
This half-day course is for those who need to refresh their understanding of the Canadian and US hours of service legislation, or for those who are new to the industry. This course is valuable for drivers, dispatchers, shippers, and customer service personnel to ensure that freight is being moved in a timely and safe manner.
If your company has 20 or more employees then you’re required to have a safety and health committee. Safety and health committee members are entitled to participate in training related to their responsibilities in this role. This course meets those requirements as well as the SAFE Work Certified Training standards criteria.
This half-day course is designed to help those who handle dangerous goods – shippers, carriers, and receivers – better understand the regulations and what their responsibilities are when it comes to transporting dangerous goods.
Please note that the MTA and RPM offices will be closed November 11 for Remembrance Day. We will re-open at 8:30 am the next business day.
