This course is designed to teach Class 1 Instructor candidates on how to teach the Class 1 Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) Curriculum developed by Manitoba Public Insurance. It also gives students training on classroom facilitation as well as coaching in cab.
The New Entrant Training Course provides increased awareness and understanding of fleet safety management and regulatory compliance responsibilities for those applying for a Safety Fitness Certificate in Manitoba. The program will instruct participants on how to establish a foundational understanding and promotion of a culture of fleet safety.
This course will move a driver into a position of mentorship as an in-cab coach. It is designed to take professional drivers to the next level in their careers, and covers such topics as expectations of coaches, dealing with conflict, and driving professionally.
