CTA: List of Third Party Certified ELDs Continues to Grow

With three months left to go before the enforcement of Transport Canada’s ELD mandate for federally regulated trucking companies, the three certification bodies approved by Transport Canada and the Standards Council of Canada have qualified multiple ELD offerings, totaling 22 devices from 15 individual ELD vendors.

The official list of certified ELD product offerings is available on Transport Canada’s website. Click here for more details. In total, the certified devices and vendors represent an overwhelming majority of the current ELD market share in Canada and have available product offerings suitable for all segments of the trucking industry.

Although most federally regulated trucking operations are already utilizing certified ELD technology, for those who have yet to deploy or activate certified devices in their fleet, the Canadian Trucking Alliance strongly encourages carriers to explore the certified product lines at Transport Canada’s website as well as contacting CTA Team Canada ELD vendors – all of whom are engaged in the third-party certification process.
