Congratulations to athletes, drivers, and organizers of the 2022 Special Olympics Manitoba Truck Ride on September 17 for exceeding their $50,000 fundraising goal!

The 2022 Truck Ride, hosted on September 17, saw 74 trucks registered.  Lead truck honours went to Peter Schwarz of Birkett Freight Solutions, who raised $6876 for the event.  The second-highest fundraiser was Murray Manuliak (Bison Transport Inc), who brought $3422 to the cause.

After a brief presentation at the TC Energy Centre in Ile des Chenes, and with the support of law enforcement agencies including Manitoba Motor Carrier Enforcement, RCMP, Winkler Police Service, and Brandon Police Service, professional drivers and athletes set out to complete a lap of the Perimeter Highway around Winnipeg.  The event wrapped up early that afternoon.

The 2023 Special Olympics Manitoba Truck Ride is tentatively scheduled for September 16.
