Mark your calendars for the 2025 Manitoba Safety and Health Week launch, an annual occupational health and safety celebration led by the Manitoba Safety and Health Week Planning Committee. The week is an excellent opportunity to focus, reinforce and strengthen your organization’s commitment to workplace safety and health.
2025 event details
This year’s Manitoba launch will take place on May 5, 2025, from 8:30 to 12 p.m. at Fort Gibraltar. The event will include speeches from dignitaries and a panel of workplace safety and health experts, focused on this year’s theme of Success in Safety.
The panel participants include Paula Murray, Workplace Safety Advisor at Manitoba Public Insurance, Xenia Adrian, Safety & Training Coordinator at Loewen and Taras Stecy, Retired Safety Coordinator and Biosafety Officer at St Boniface Hospital and Research Centre with Steve Hnatishin moderating the discussion. Submit a question to the panel here by April 21, 2025.
Each year, the Safety and Health Week Engagement Award recognizes an organization that engages their employees and the public through safety and health initiatives. The winning applicant will be presented this award at the 2025 Safety and Health Week launch. Submit your nomination for the 2025 Safety and Health Week Engagement reward here by June 13, 2025.
