We’re excited to host two different information sessions for the Road to Success: Class 1 Training Pilot Program, hosted by the Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) in partnership with The Northpine Foundation.
This pilot program aims to train and employ 90 individuals in the trucking sector over the next two years, with full funding to cover Class 1 training costs. The program is designed to support participants from the Winnipeg geographic region who are:
- 50% from Employment Income Assistance (EIA)
- 50% who are low-income and at risk of requiring EIA
There will be two information sessions; please ensure you register for the correct one.
December 12: agencies/non-profits with clients seeking funding.
December 18: potential carrier employer sponsors.
Key Program Dates:
- Intake Opens: January 2, 2025
- Training Begins: Shortly after intake, following student identification and securement of sponsor employers
Danielle Tyszuk, Outreach Coordinator, will oversee the intake, assessment, and tracking of participants. She will also coordinate with carriers, selected PVI schools, and agencies helping to identify eligible students.
Please join us to learn more about this program and participate in a Q&A session. We look forward to sharing how you or your organization can play a role in this initiative.
