In this course, you will learn about building a team, resolving conflict, soliciting feedback, managing change and about the kind of person a leader should be; ethical, impartial, goal focused and able to deal with issues - even when stressed.


When there are problems in the team you lead, most people will look unto you- the leader, to see what you should have or shouldn't have done. They know everyone is to blame, but they instinctively know you're more to blame. Similarly, when your team does well, they will credit your people, but they will credit you more than any one of them. You dramatically influence the tone, direction and effectiveness of your team. In this section, you will learn what a leader has to do. You will learn about building a team, resolving conflict, soliciting feedback and managing change. Perhaps most importantly, you'll learn about the kind of person a leader should be; ethical, impartial, goal focused and able to deal with issues - even when stressed.

After you finish this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the basic skills required for you to be an effective leader, which has to do with soliciting feedback, building a team, resolving conflict and managing change.
  • Begin to understand not only what a leader has to do but also what they should be like.
